2019 – £19,270 grants made

Grants in December

  • £150 to North Walsham Scouts to fund new signage
  • £6,000 to North Walsham Phoenix Group to support their creation of a youth centre

Grants in November

  • £1,000 to Stalham and Smallburgh First Responders, to help and equip and train two new North Walsham volunteers.
  • £450 to North Walsham Parkrun, to help establish a regular North Walsham Saturday run

Grants in October

  • £375 to Walsham Drama & Singing Group for stage equipment
  • £1,000 to Millfield School for their outdoor learning and garden project
  • £700 to North Walsham Christmas Lights for hire of cherry picker, stilt walker, and purchase of new displays
  • £500 to Childrens Day 2020 for hire of climbing wall, children’s entertainer and bells

Grants in September

  • £500 to support VE Day event
  • £210 to Peter Chapman to support his ‘blind person walking’ shirt initiative

Grants in August

  • £265.55 to North Walsham High School for headphones and splitters
  • £460 to North Walsham FC for U13 kit
  • £500 to Salvation Army for a defibrillator to be provided in Hall Road
  • £719 to Worstead pre-school for outdoor learning equipment

Grants in July

  • £140 to Manor Road School Volunteer Gardeners for gardening items
  • £300 to North Walsham Play for Easter Eggs for their 2020 Easter Egg hunt event

Grants in June

  • £250 to EPIC – North Walsham Road race.

Grants in May

  • £67 to Mens Shed, to purchase the materials for their construction of the base for the Ship Yard model being built for display at the Heritage Centre and Archive Photo exhibition
  • and also £100 to the Heritage Centre for materials used in constructing the model itself
  • £180 to Halvergate House, to fund joint Music in Motion events for toddlers and residents
  • £300 to Royal British legion, for hire of projectionist, advertising and advertising for their Armed Forces Day commemoration event on 29th June
  • £500 to North Walsham High School, towards their construction of a cob building for use by students

Grants in April

  • £500 to Worstead CE CV Primary School  for non-fiction books intheir new library
  • £359 to Friends of North Walsham Junior and Infant Schools  for the hire of equipment for their summer fair on 7th July

Grants in March

  • £600 to North Walsham Think Carer Network  for the costs of publicity and promotion of their ‘Big bash’ event on 18th May.
  • £400 to North Walsham Football Club for U6 kit, that will include the shop logo

Grants in January/ February 2019

  • £500 to North Walsham Football Club to purchase wheels to move goal posts around the Greens Road site
  • £150 to North Walsham Morsbag Pod to purchase an extra sewing machine to help make more of their environmentally bags, made of recycled fabric. They have already handed out 100s of these free to shoppers
